When i thought it was all over, i pinched myself. I wondered, is this what everybody goes through. This is the simple love story by Courtney Kelly. It all started on one fine morning.
I am just an ordinary woman who recently got accepted to work at a magazine company as a personal assistant. I do the basic routine, making appointments, cancelation and the good old boring write ups. But when it comes to social life, I’m up-to date.
My most amazing friend, Jenny, just turned 25 today. I made a note to self that i would get her a book since she loves to read. So as I browsed through Dymorks bookstore down at Glenelg, i came across an interesting section of books. It was all neatly arranged in the book rack. As i reached to grab the book, I felt another hands on it. I don’t remember the book having hands but as i turned to my right, there he was. A tall, dashing, green eyed chap. I just stood there for a good solid 30 seconds before he snaps his fingers on me. ‘Excuse me, do you mind?’ he said. ‘Oh, sorry’ and i moved to my side. Still in awe of his angel like face, I didn’t realise that the book I held was gone from my hands. As he walked down the stairs shaking his head while chuckling, i tapped his shoulder and said, ‘Erm excuse me, I think you grabbed the wrong book’. He looked at me as though i was crazy, ‘no i didn’t’. Trying to prove him that I got that book first, he refuses to give me that book as it was the very last copy in the state. Suddenly I spotted a familiar face walking towards me. ‘MOM??, what are you doing here?’ Well Courtney, I came in to get a magazine for nanna. Being distracted for mom, this cheeky man just walked past me and the next thing I see is he walking out of the store with the book. Crap, what do I do now? I sighed.
