Lil Asha becoming an EN

So it has been almost 3 weeks now that I have been away from my family. Being independent and all is a real change to me. Lil Asha is all grown up now, “awwww”. Working at an aged care facility up in Happy Valley is indeed a challenging part in my life because I’m putting what I learn in theory into practical. Basically what I am currently doing is an EN (Enrolled Nurse) job. My daily routine is waking up every day at 5am then coming back home at 4pm. (No wonder I love my bed so freaking much). Basically we do medication round and paper work, then wound management and paperwork then medication and MORE PAPERWORK. But the residents there are super nice, but their attitude changes at time. Every weekend when I come home I’m so happy to see my family especially my dad because he always is so happy when I am home. And after giving a huge bear hug to my appa, I would go to my mum and talk about work and the things I do because you know we just ‘click’. I have to say tho; I am missing home food a lot now and appreciating my parents more. I guess when you are in their shoes and away from them, you get to see what life is really all about. The only reason I am getting educated, pampered at home, smiling this much, having my own room and the lil freedom which is enough for me is all because of them. Without them I would be a helpless kid running around krazy! I can’t wait till I start my Acute placement in Royal Adelaide Hospital soon, cause then il be a few steps closer to being a paediatric nurse, a SPECIALIST SON! Anyway the one and only Almighty God is the MAIN reason im on earth, the reason I am smiling and the reason why I do everything glorifying His name only. In the next blog, hopefully soon, I will be writing about the future plans I have set for myself. Till then Adiouz!!

Oh my dad so the funny. Today at 11am, parents safely arrived from Malaysia. Actually glad they are home. For the few days they were away, it was so quiet in the house. Thank goodness for people visiting our home often. Now I know how it feels like to be away from parents. It actually sucks cause we are so attached to one another that when one leaves to another country you feel bored and lonely. Appa was telling me how the flight had to have an emergency lending in Jakarta due to some lady who was very sick. They also told me how the landing was so rough it was scary. I can’t imagine me in that situation. But nevertheless I am so happy they are home safe and sound and ‘extra baggage’. =P.

They brought home some delicious Indian sweets knowing their daughters miss those sweets. I wish I could go back to Malaysia this year or at least early next year. But due to the studies I’m taking, it has restricted my holidays to 0%. This means I have to wait for December 2013 to have a proper long holiday. *gosh im sad as* And the month of August..Gosh I hate you. I have like 3 exams coming up which gives me again 0% enjoyment and 100% study.

Next month I’ll be doing my placement in an Aged Care facility as an EN. I can’t wait to actually work in an acute (hospital) setting. This is cause there is so much challenges I can face that would make me a pro EN *hopefully*. Other then that Ima enjoy those sweets and study and get this damn degree and work like a BAWSE! Ciao

Update on present self and future dream

Hello my readers, it has indeed been almost 3 months since i last post something. Well here is the deal, with my nursing course and work coming into my life its hard to sit and type. But nevertheless i apologize. For the month of June/July it has been suckie as. I don't know about you but mine was really crappy. This is why... As the start of winter approached, i felt really happy as it is my fav season for the year. Its when u can just be comfy in whatever you wear as long itz covered with jacket and scarf. But this winter was very gloomy. I felt sick, sounded like a dude, and had a spider bite on my lil toe. Now many of u would think that the lil toe down there is useless BUT trust me, if itz hurtz YOU CANT FREAKING WALK. So i was a limp for the whole 3 weeks. I stayed home with a regular nurses appointment to do my dressing and did not go out or to work (so im poor atm). But thankfully my toe has recovered and now i can walk which means i have to go back to work which also means i will have money in hand which then means i can go OUT!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!. Now that everything is slowly falling in place, i can't wait to finish my nursing course (2 more years) and specialize in pediatric(as if u didnt know i love kids =P) and then off to Melb and work. Seems pretty sorted out right but we shall see what happens. All in God's hands. And as many of my Facebook followers would have come across is the cupcakes i make in request from people. As you might know i am wanting to open my own bakery in the heart of Malaysia selling cakes, cupcakes, macaroons, biscuits and other yummy desserts with a price that you can afford. This would be truly be the recipe from my heart and soul with some family secrets dash into it. I am hoping this will happen soon in the coming future. So my dear readers, do u have an incident in June/July you would like to share or do u have a request of cupcake i should make.
